Please
call on time. You’ll be welcomed and asked to state your
first name and the city and state that you are calling
from. If you must call in late, please listen quietly
while you catch up with the discussion and realize that
we will not interrupt the class to welcome late comers
or to review material already covered.
-
Disable
your call-waiting feature before calling in.
-
Please
use a land-based telephone or Skype connection (no cellular
phones). A handset or headset phone is preferable over
a cordless phone. Please do not use a speaker phone.
-
Call from a quiet place where you will not be distracted
or interrupted
-
Come prepared to learn with your course material and notepad
in front of you (if applicable).
-
Please
mute your phone except when you are speaking. Background
noise is very distracting to the other participants, as
is heavy breathing into the mouthpiece.
-
Please
identify yourself before you speak, for example "This
is Monica. I have a question about ____."
-
If
you need to leave early, please let your class leader
know at the start of the call when you state your name.
-
There
may be times when we'll offer optional 30 minute extensions
for further topic discussion. This extra time will be
announced beforehand and you can either log off the call
after the alloted time or choose to participate.
-
Our
90-minute topic intensive teleclasses are typically more
lecture based allowing for questions and shared experiences
to occur during the last 15-20 minutes of the call. Multiple
day or week long
teleclasses allow for a more relaxed setting where questions
and sharing of knowledge is encouraged throughout the
class. Teleclasses provide rich learning environments
facilitated by a skilled teleclass leader.
-
Taping
of copyright protected material is not permitted. The
instructor will advise you in advance if the teleclass
is being recorded.
-
We
ask that 100% confidentiality of shared information be
respected.
-
Enjoy
yourself and have fun learning in a relaxed setting.
